GTA 6 Running On A PS5 Looks So Good Its Hard To Believe
Today, after years of waiting, leaks, and teases, Rockstar Games finally showed off nearly 30 minutes of real Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay. And folks, it looks fucking incredible. In fact, it’s almost hard to believe this is running on a PlayStation 5, but according to Rockstar, that’s in fact the case.
Currently, as I write this, the GTA 6 gameplay reveal is locked exclusively to Netflix. So we can’t embed it via a YouTube link until later today, when it goes live on other platforms. But we can share screenshots, and even those are good enough to show just how damn impressive this very expensive open-world sequel looks in action.
So let’s look at some screenshots from the extended look. Keep in mind Rockstar has confirmed this is running on a base PS5. I think a big reason it looks so damn impressive and hard to believe is that Rockstar is truly going wild with the in-game lighting and draw distance. Those two factors can hide a lot of corner-cutting and create an image that looks photorealistic without melting your console. Anyway, the screenshots:
