Here’s everything new for Apple Wallet in iOS 27
iOS 27 launched today for iPhone, here’s what’s new for the Apple Wallet app in the latest major software update.
Apple Wallet is always improving, including several recent updates in iOS 26. But iOS 27 brings even more new features to Wallet users.
Create a Pass is a new feature you’ll find when you hit the + button inside iOS 27’s Wallet app.
It enables you to create a pass in one of two ways:
The former requires the next-gen Apple Intelligence capabilities. Creating a pass manually, meanwhile, provides you with three options: Standard, Membership, and Event.
The goal is that Apple wants to make the Wallet app your go-to hub for all kinds of passes, whether they’re digital or physical.
Split Bill with Apple Cash is another iOS 27 addition to Wallet.
When using the new Siri mode in the Camera app to scan a receipt, you’ll see the option to Split Bill with Apple Cash.
From here, the Wallet app opens and you’ll be presented with options to ‘Request’ payment from others or ‘Pay Your Share.’ It’s quick, easy, and offers another reason to use Apple Cash.
If you use Apple Card, there’s a convenient new hub in iOS 27 for all your recurring transactions.
