Man arrested after boy, 6, dies in crash
Police were called to Llanfairfechan shortly after 17:00 BST on Thursday
A six-year-old boy has died following a crash, police have said.
North Wales Police said officers were called to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a child in Llanfairfechan, Conwy county, at just after 17:00 BST on Thursday evening.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested, the force added, while the boy's family is being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
Multiple roads in the area of Pen-Y-Bryn Road and Bryn Road were closed and people were asked to avoid the area.
Det Insp Tim Evans said: "Our thoughts are with the young boy's family and friends at this extremely difficult time."
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing and police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
