Pixel 12 series leak allegedly reveals model numbers, display specs, no wide Fold
Google’s Pixel 11 series has only been around for a few months now, but Pixel 12 leaks are already surfacing with some key display specs and confirmation of a familiar Fold.
Citing the GSMA database, OVR+ highlights what appear to be listings for Google’s Pixel 12 lineup. As expected, there are four devices here, presumably to be marketed as Pixel 12, Pixel 12 Pro, Pixel 12 Pro XL, and Pixel 12 Pro Fold. The model numbers listed are:
Beyond model numbers, the listings point to the screen resolution of each device. The base Pixel 12 is listed at 1080×2400, just shy of the Pixel 11’s 1080×2424. Pixel 12 Pro is listed at 1280×2824 compared to 11 Pro’s 1280×2856. Pixel 12 Pro XL, following the same pattern of very slight differences, is said to be 1344×2952 compared to 11 Pro XL’s 1344×2992. We’d take these with a grain of salt, as the lower pixel counts would suggest a smaller panel, but it could also signal some form of redesign on the main display.
Pixel 12 Pro Fold’s inner display is listed at 2296×2404, a considerable bump up from the Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s 2076×2152. While that’ll certainly be a welcome upgrade, it’s important to note that this means Google is looking at using the same near-square design for the fourth year rather than switching to a wide format like the Galaxy Z Fold 8 or iPhone Duo – the aspect ratio is nearly identical to the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Not really a surprise, but certainly a bit of a shame given Google started this whole foldable journey off with something closer to the new fan favorite. Google is also rumored to be adopting a new display assembly on Pixel 12 Pro Fold.
Unsurprisingly, all four devices are listed with Android 18, which will have debuted by the time Google releases its next flagship series.
These early leaks are always subject to change, so take it all with a grain of salt for the time being.
