The Duskbloods Is Officially Delayed Until 2027
FromSoftware has announced that its vampiric, competitive PvPvE action game The Duskbloods is being delayed to 2027 for “final adjustments to the game rules and balancing.”
While development of "The Duskbloods" is at the final adjustment stage, we have made the decision to move the launch window to 2027.

“While development of The Duskbloods is at the final adjustment stage, we have made the decision to move the launch window to 2027,” reads a post on X from the official account. “We apologize to players who have been kindly awaiting the release of this title and thank you for your patience and support.”
“During the network test, we saw active interest in the core concepts of the game, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further enhance these aspects, we have decided to move the launch, allowing time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.”
This news will come as a surprise to basically no one. FromSoftware fans have been speculating for months now that the game would be delayed following the aforementioned closed network test. Though the test largely seemed successful and did result in a lot of positive buzz about the game, there were criticisms that the game was confusing and didn’t do a great job of helping players understand what they should be doing at any given moment. It was also (in my opinion) far too weighted toward PvP aspects, which made those of us coming from FromSoftware’s more PvE-oriented experiences feel out of our element.
FromSoftware didn’t specify whether either of those aspects is what it will be working on here, though, so we’ll just have to wait and see what tweaks are made to The Duskbloods in the next few months. Or more! There’s no new release window being given here outside of “next year,” so depending on how long the changes take, we might be waiting a while.
That’s okay. I can wait a little longer, if Zork demands it.
