iOS 27.3 gives Apple One’s high-end tier a compelling upgrade
iOS 27.3 is coming next month and is packed with new features, including some that make Apple One Premier more compelling than ever.
Apple One launched in 2019 with Individual, Family, and Premier plans. And in the seven years since, the service bundle has stayed remarkably consistent.
Every plan has always included Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and iCloud+. And the high-end Premier option adds Apple News+ and Fitness+ alongside more iCloud storage.
I’ve been an Apple One Premier subscriber since the beginning. But there have definitely been times I’ve considered downgrading.
That’s because the high-end tier’s value hinges a lot on whether you care about News+ and Fitness+. Additional iCloud storage is important, but not reason enough to subscribe to Premier.
Apple News+ has gotten a lot better over the years. Following the New York Times playbook, Apple has added daily puzzle games, food-focused content like recipes, and audio stories, all while continuing to improve the basic news experience.
Apple Fitness+ keeps improving too, but there’s an upgrade in iOS 27.3 that makes it far more compelling in my view: Gym Strength.
iOS 27.3 lets Fitness+ subscribers set up a Gym Strength program with personalized workout plans suited for your needs.
Built-in video demonstrations accompany your personalized plan, making strength training accessible even for newcomers. And you can track your progress in the app, with key Apple Watch integration too.
I’ve used Fitness+ plenty and enjoyed it, but a comprehensive strength plan like this was a big gap in the service previously. With iOS 27.3 though, Fitness+ takes a big leap forward and makes Apple One Premier more compelling than ever.
