Apple announces live Immersive Video MLB games for Vision Pro
Apple is making another foray into live Apple Immersive content for Apple Vision Pro. The company has announced that it will stream four upcoming Friday Night Baseball games in Apple Immersive video for Apple Vision Pro.
Earlier this year, Apple broadcast multiple Los Angeles Lakers games in Immersive Video for Apple Vision Pro users. As I wrote at the time, this was an incredibly impressive experience, with Apple delivering on a demo it first showcased at WWDC 2023.
This time around, Apple has announced it will broadcast the following Friday Night Baseball games live in Immersive Video for Apple Vision Pro:
Much like the NBA games from earlier this year, these immersive Friday Night Baseball games will offer a separate broadcast for those watching on Vision Pro. This includes dedicated commentary from Paul Severino (play-by-play), Xavier Scruggs (analyst), and Michelle Margaux (sideline reporter).
The Immersive Video feed will also offer immersive graphics and replays. Apple says there will be cameras placed throughout each stadium to help viewers stay immersed in the experience.
The games will be broadcast live and will also be available on-demand in the Apple TV app after airing. Friday Night Baseball is included with an Apple TV subscription for $12.99 per month after a 7-day free trial.
