In the version of this article initially published, in Fig. 2c and associated Source Data, there were duplication errors in the NIP7 URB1-KD and DDX31 scramble profiles, and in the primer sequences in Supplementary Table 1, the POLR1D-F and POLR1D-R entries were duplicates of the POLR1C-F data.
