Sony just announced the brand-new Bravia 6 OLED TV, a more stripped-back and simplified version of its flagship model designed for both brand loyalists and newcomers alike. It offers the same signature OLED picture quality with bold colors, sharp contrast, and fine details as well as high-def audio with support for both Dolby Atmos virtual surround sound and DTS:X.
Unfortunately, it doesn't use Sony's Acoustic Surface Audio+, but it can be paired with a Sony Bravia Theater soundbar for more immersive sound.
Available in screen sizes from 48 to 83 inches, the Bravia 6 is designed to fit into a variety of spaces, either as a main screen in your home theater or living room, or as a second TV in your bedroom or office. With Google TV, you'll get access to all your favorite streaming apps like Netflix and Spotify as well as hundreds of free live TV channels via Google Freeplay.
It also features built-in Google Cast capabilities for sharing videos from your mobile devices and access to Sony Pictures Core for 12 months.
The Bravia 6 is available to buy from Sony's official store page, Amazon, and other official retail partners. The 48-inch model starts at $1,300, making it one of the most affordable Sony OLED options, while the 83-inch version is priced at $4,000.
