Google Calculator rounds out gradient icon redesigns
Since we’re presumably still a few weeks away from Pixel Camera 11 rolling out to older phones, Google Calculator rounds out the icon gradient redesigns today.
While not exclusive to Pixel phones, Google introduced a new icon for Calculator alongside the Pixel Camera, Recorder, and Weather revamps.
This redesign places the minus, multiplication, plus, and equals symbols in rounded containers. The general design is identical to the Quick Settings Tile icon introduced years ago. The icon’s background is now white, just like Google Clock.
Google has picked green to theme the icon, with the operator symbols using a darker shade than the equals sign. It’s not obvious why these colors were chosen, with the previous gray and blue palette somewhat matching the Clock app.
Version 9.3 of Google Calculator is now widely rolling out via the Play Store. There are no other changes to the application.
