Steve Jobs in 1996: ‘I still think Apple has a future’
Apple has a new CEO today. Meanwhile, a vintage video of Steve Jobs from 1996 has resurfaced. It adds some incredible perspective.
The interview is from Maryland Public Television’s Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser.
The interview took place before Jobs returned to Apple. It includes a remarkable comment about his belief that Apple could innovate its way out of demise.
“I think the way out is not to slash and burn. It’s to innovate. That’s how Apple got to its glory, and I think that’s how Apple could return to it.”
Three decades later, it worked out (for Apple, Pixar, and Toy Story).
