Radio presenter's 'wobbles' over Children in Need cycling challenge
BBC Radio 2 host Owain Wyn Evans will ride through the UK's four nations
Radio presenter Owain Wyn Evans has voiced fears about his upcoming challenge to cycle through all four UK nations for Children in Need.
The host of BBC Radio 2's Early Breakfast Show admitted he has had "wobbles", adding: "I just don't feel like it's a thing I'm able to do."
It will see him travel almost 400 miles, setting off from Glasgow and finishing in Cardiff, and is the greatest distance anyone has covered in a Radio 2 fundraising challenge.
With just 19 days to go before he is due to set off, he told colleague Sara Cox on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Wednesday he was "so not ready".
Sports scientist Prof Greg Whyte has been supporting him on the run-up to the bike ride.
He also helped Cox on her Great Northern Marathon Challenge in 2025.
Radio 2 presenter Sara Cox took on a 135-mile (217km) journey for Children in Need last year
Evans, who is originally from Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, said: "When I think about what I need to do, you know, 400 miles, four nations over the space of four or five days, I just don't feel like it's a thing I'm able to do."
Cox recommended he take it a day at a time, but warned the weather had "taken a slight turn".
