Samsung will reportedly make an extra one million Galaxy Z Fold 8 units
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is an absolute smash hit, it seems, as Samsung will reportedly make an extra one million units of the wide foldable amid higher-than-expected demand.
It’s abundantly clear that the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s new form factor is resonating with customers. The wider device launched to huge demand, with Samsung confirming much higher pre-order figures and some variants of the device going out of stock or seeing heavy delays amid the pre-order period that ended last week.
As a result of this demand, which surpassed Samsung’s expectations, the company is apparently boosting production.
ETNews reports, briefly, that Samsung has ordered an additional one million Galaxy Z Fold 8 units as of this week. This is on top of production numbers which had already surpassed that of prior generations.
With this in mind, it’s very likely that this wide form factor will see further adoption from both Samsung and the rest of the Android world, especially as Apple prepares its first foldable iPhone with the same shape.
