FreeCORE descends from FreeNAS and TrueNAS® CORE, and builds on FreeBSD and OpenZFS. FreeCORE carries the TrueNAS CORE 13.3 system forward as an independently maintained operating system on FreeBSD. 15.0-U1 is stable.
