iPadOS 27 launches on September 14, here are the compatible devices
During its “Surprise and Shine” event today, Apple confirmed that iPadOS 27 will be released in just a few days, on September 14. Here are the compatible devices.
Apple today announced the iPhone Duo, the company’s first foldable iPhone, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
In addition to the new hardware, Apple also confirmed the release date of iPadOS 27, which was first announced during WWDC26.
Like iOS 27, iPadOS 27’s headlining feature is the new Siri AI, powered by the next generation of Apple Intelligence and Apple Foundation Models, as well as Apple’s partnership with Google and its Gemini models.
The revamped assistant is designed to offer an experience closer to modern LLMs, using the user’s personal context to provide more relevant and in-depth answers. Siri can also search the web for information and use what it finds to generate complete, useful responses.
iPadOS 27 also introduces welcome adjustments to the Liquid Glass look, brings performance improvements to several system apps, and more.
iPadOS 27 is compatible with the following iPad models:
It is worth noting that some of the most advanced new Siri AI features will only be available on the iPad with M4 and later with 12GB or more in memory.
