Watch: Is the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition worth the hype?
Visitors flocked to the British Museum in London on Thursday as the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition opened its doors to the general public.
The Bayeux Tapestry is an embroidery almost 70m (230ft) in length and nearly 1,000 years old. It tells the story of the Norman conquest of England and the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
Adult tickets to see the tapestry are priced at £33 during peak times and £27 at off-peak times, with an additional £3.50 donation.
The BBC's Katie Razzall asked the first visitors if it was worth the price.
