Show HN: A working 3D model of an Enigma machine
The Germans distributed top-secret sheets with the initial Enigma settings for each day of the month.
These sheets were not allowed on planes, were printed with water-soluble ink, and were a tightly guarded secret.
Each pair of letters indicates one cable that joins two letters. The Germans initially used 6 cables, and later increased this to 10.
Army and Air Force operators chose from five rotors, while naval operators had eight. The daily key sheet specified which three to use for that day.
Try choosing a rotor and its position, or continue.
The ring setting shifts the alphabet ring around the wired core.
