Galaxy Watch 9 drops to $319, but not on Amazon during Prime Day
The Galaxy Watch 9, Samsung’s newest model, is currently $60 off while most shoppers rush to Amazon to snatch up Prime Day deals. This might be a better option.
On Amazon, the Galaxy Watch is just as expensive as it always is – $379 for the 40mm edition. For whatever reason, Samsung has chosen not to lower the price for its latest smartwatches on the massive online retailer. Instead, it’s running its own deal.
On Samsung’s official online shop, the Galaxy Watch 9 series is as low as $319 for the 40mm Bluetooth version. The 44mm variant is also $60 off at $349. That’s down from the original $409 price tag.
Samsung’s site is offering a flat $60 off both devices during its current deal. Last month, the price dropped to a similar $299, but it’s gone up just a little. Not enough to mark this deal as negligible, because it’s still a rather good buy for what is essentially a brand-new watch released only a few months ago.
Something of note – trading in a Galaxy Watch 8 will remove another $150 from the discount price.
The Galaxy Watch 9 series packs a ton of features we’ve covered in depth, including improved health tracking, One UI 9 for the smartwatch, and better performance. It also offers Gemini raise-to-talk, which is something only available on the Pixel Watch series previously. The watch is also guaranteed five years of updates, which is a first.
We’re not sure how long this deal will last, but it sure beats any Galaxy Watch 9 deals on Amazon. If you don’t need to get the latest version, you also have the option to get the Galaxy Watch 8 from Amazon, which is marked down to $219.
