We’re Tracking October Prime Day Live (2026)
Our team is tracking Prime Day deals live to find all the best discounts. Stay up to date with the latest coverage on all the sales we’re shopping ourselves.
It’s day one of Amazon Prime Day. The deals are fresh, the FOMO is young, and your shopping cart is still pretty empty. We’ve got two days to find the best deals, and we intend to bring you the sun, the moon, and the stars. Before you know it, these gizmos will be back at their outrageous full prices.
Our fabulous WIRED reviewers will be popping into this live blog throughout the day to yap about the stuff they’re buying and the bargains we think you should know about. We’ll also regularly be updating our Absolute Best Prime Day Deals.
For me, the holiday gift-giving season kicks off the second October arrives. That’s because I spend half the month answering questions about what I’d like for my birthday (October Libras, rise up) and the other half shopping for my fellow fall birthday people. The first birthday to arrive is actually a friend of my son’s, and the first Prime Day purchase I got was for him.
We love all kinds of toy vehicles in this house, but my son’s current favorite is this flexible track set and speedy little cars with LED lights built into them, making them easy to spot if my son sends them flying off the track. The flexible track is easy to make into a ton of shapes or add obstacles to, making it a fun choice for curious kids. It also feels like a fun, unique car instead of the usual packs of hot wheels or massive remote control vehicles to gift to a friend. It has a nice little discount right now for Prime Day, and a perfect thing to grab if you're shopping for kids ahead of a birthday or the holiday season.
Hello hello! I'm Nena Farrell from the WIRED Reviews team, and we're wrapping up day one of Amazon's Prime Big Deals Day event with a live blog of the deals our team has been shopping and obsessing over. Enjoy and stay tuned!
