Man, 21, who died after city centre attack named by police
Daniel Colrain was attacked in Royal Exchange Square in the early hours of Sunday and died in hospital the following day
A 21-year-old man who died after being attacked in Glasgow city centre has been named by police.
Daniel Colrain was found with serious injuries in Royal Exchange Square at about 03:05 on Sunday. He died in hospital the following day.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the disturbance and released pending further inquiries.
Another man, aged 21, was also assaulted and suffered minor injuries. A 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with this and is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
Police Scotland have appealed for information about the attack and have set up a dedicated portal, external where information can be submitted anonymously.
Daniel's family are being supported by specialist officers.

Det Insp Jonny MacKinnon, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: "Our thoughts remain with Daniel's family and friends at what is an extremely difficult time for them.
"I would like to reiterate that no arrests have been made in connection with the death at this time and extensive inquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
