Apple announces special event for October 13: ‘Welcome home’
Today Apple announced a special event happening next Tuesday, October 13 with the tagline ‘Welcome home.”
Apple is launching new products next week on Tuesday, October 13, as hinted at in a teaser video posted by Greg Joswiak. Here’s the video from Joswiak, Apple’s SVP of Worldwide Marketing.

Apple is expected to launch several new Home products at the event, including:
We’re also likely to see the leaked LG home accessories unveiled next week that Apple has reportedly co-developed with the company.
At the same time as Joswiak announced the date, invites went out to press for a special “Apple Experience” to happen in Tribeca, New York at 9:00 a.m. ET.

The days of mysterious event announcements are over. Definitely a home devices focused one w/ a Mac smattering I imagine.
When Apple launched MacBook Neo earlier this year, it hosted a similar “Apple experience” for press. At the time, that unveiling followed multiple days of product launches via press releases.
Currently though, expectations are that all of Apple’s new Home products will debut the same day.
