18 Of The Very Finest Cosplay Kits From San Diego Comic Con 2026
San Diego Comic Con is obviously one of the biggest dates on the geek con calendar, and that means it brings out the very best in the field of cosplay. 2026 is no exception, as captured on film and video (well, digital and digital) by Kotaku‘s erstwhile band of photographers, Mineralblu.
This year’s collection of photographs includes some of the most precise, gobsmacking outfits I’ve seen, from a wildly perfect Aang from Avatar to my favorite Lara Croft in many years. There are also some extremely disturbing Clickers from The Last of Us, alongside a group of Marvel Rivals cosplayers who look like they’ve just stepped off a Hollywood set from a Marvel movie. Then there’s the terrifyingly real-life interpretation of Invader Zim. Oh, and a somehow home-made inflatable Trogdor the Burninator, making me extremely happy. Burninating the countryside. Burninating the peasants. Burninating all the people. And the thatched…roof…COTTAGES!
Stick to the end to see Minerablu’s YouTube video of the event, and let us know the fits that best stand out to you in the comments. And, if nothing else, please try to remember that the Trogdor comes in the NIGHT.
