Apple extends 2026 Back to School deals on Macs and iPads until September 24
Eligible students, parents of students, and educators in the United States just got a few extra weeks to claim Apple’s 2026 Back to School deals on select Macs and iPads. Here are the details.
As spotted by MacRumors, Apple has updated the promotion period for its 2026 Back to School offer. Originally set to run from July 16 through August 27, the promotion will now end on September 24.
This year, in addition to the standard education discount, which offers reduced pricing on eligible Macs and iPads, eligible students also get an Apple Gift Card worth up to $150 with the purchase of a qualifying Mac or iPad.

Those eligible for this promotion include faculty, staff, students, and parents as follows (each a “Qualified Purchaser”):
K–12 – An employee of a public or private K–12 institution in the United States is eligible, including homeschool teachers. In addition, school board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members are eligible. PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers are eligible.
Higher Education – Faculty and staff of Higher Education institutions in the United States and students attending or accepted into a Higher Education institution in the United States are eligible.
Higher Education Parents – Parents purchasing on behalf of their child who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education institution in the United States are eligible.
Purchases from the Apple Store for Education by individuals are not for institutional purchase or resale.
