NBC Universal has announced that Peacock will get yet another price hike, the fourth time in the platform’s history, which also now makes for a price hike in each of the past four years.
Peacock, launched in 2020, will now cost $12.99/month for its individual Premium plan, with its Premium Plus going up to $19.99/month as detailed by Variety. The full list of price changes follows:
The new prices kick in immediately for new subscribers and will apply to existing customers starting with their next billing period (on or after September 17). The rewards are currently in a beta rollout, and NBC made no mention of the price hikes in the announcement.
This is the fourth year in a row that Peacock has raised its pricing, up from just $4.99/month in 2023. The prior three price hikes include:
Peacock isn’t alone, of course, as all streaming services continue to raise prices at effectively every turn. Other recent hikes include Apple TV+ and Netflix.
Meanwhile, Peacock is teaming up with YouTube in a deal that will bundle the two premium services together.
