tvOS 27 to add Siri AI for Apple TV 4K, per new leak
Siri AI was unveiled in June for most Apple platforms—but Apple TV and HomePod missed out. A new leak, however, points to tvOS 27 including Siri AI after all.
When Apple finally revealed its AI version of Siri earlier this summer, it touted a ground-up overhaul that would be consistent across your devices.
David Clark, Apple’s senior director of watchOS software engineering, explained to TechRadar:
“We really wanted to make sure the Siri experience is a singular and consistent experience, whether I decide to ask Siri on my wrist a question, or whether I have my phone in my hand and I decide to interact with Siri there. We really wanted to feel like it’s one Siri, that has access to your data and is able to personalise it in a consistent way.”
“One Siri” is something many users have wanted from Apple for years. It’s frustrating when you ask Siri to do something, and it tells you to ask it on a different device instead.
But missing from this claim of a unified Siri experience was any announcement for Apple TV 4K or HomePod. These products were almost entirely absent from WWDC, with only a handful of features mentioned.
I’ve long assumed that Siri AI will come to Apple TV and HomePod this fall, but Apple can’t announce it yet because it will be exclusive to unreleased hardware.
And now, new evidence in tvOS 27 seemingly confirms that—at least for Apple TV.
When running Device Hub via Xcode in macOS 27, the Apps list for tvOS 27 has a new addition: Siri.
The Siri entry features a ‘com.apple.campo’ string. Prior reporting indicates ‘campos’ is Apple’s internal codename for Siri AI.
