ESPN streaming prices are going up, including Disney+ and Hulu bundles
Another week, another price increase for a streaming service. This week, ESPN announced that ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited are both getting more expensive, as are some associated Disney+ and Hulu bundles.
The price increases were spotted by Sports Media Watch via an ESPN support page. The increases take effect on September 17. Here are the details:
As the report points out, this is the first round of price increases for these services since ESPN revamped its streaming strategy last year.
Meanwhile, some associated Disney bundles are also getting more expensive to match these ESPN streaming price increases.
As The Verge points out, this also affects the legacy ad-free Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN Select bundle, which is no longer open to new subscribers. This plan will increase from $25/month to $28/month.
On the plus side: ESPN Unlimited bundles are not affected by these changes.
Peacock announced price increases of up to $3 per month or $30 per year last week. Apple also recently raised prices for Apple Music and Apple One.
