GTA 6 Had A Really Busy Week
After many, many years of waiting, we have entered the endgame of Grand Theft Auto 6‘s hype cycle. Next month, in November, Rockstar Games will finally release its long-awaited open-world sequel, GTA 6. And for 90 percent of that wait, it has felt like fans have had to survive off scraps. A single trailer. A small teaser. A new screenshot. The announcement of a delay. But now, the GTA 6 marketing machine is finally revving up. That’s probably why this past week was one of the busiest for GTA 6 fans waiting to play in November.
On Friday, Love Magazine released a few new looks at GTA 6 and shared some new quotes from devs working on the game ahead of the magazine’s next issue. That issue will feature GTA 6 protagonists Jason and Lucia on the cover. Before then, Love shared some tidbits from two different GTA 6 writers:
“We wanted both protagonists to be vulnerable, tough, flawed, right sometimes, wrong sometimes, able to learn from each other,” says game writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern.
“When you are focusing on writing a fully realised person with their own wants, you’re going to get something perfectly imperfect—with clichés, but also undeniably real,” says Alexa D’Agostino.
Meanwhile, in New York City, Grand Theft Auto fans have spotted painters putting up a new mural that will feature Jason and Lucia hanging out on a wall somewhere in Brooklyn. It looks like it’ll be finished soon.

Some news directly from…me! Earlier today, I received a package in the mail from Rockstar Games containing some new Grand Theft Auto 6 goodies and merch. My favorite bit of gear they sent over was easily the pink canvas bag. It feels very nice. I’ll also never say no to stickers.
This appears to be the same box of goodies sent to some GTA content creators. Rockstar tells me they shipped it my way as a thank you for my years of GTA coverage at Kotaku. I guess I’ve been writing about GTA at this site for a decade now…huh.
