Oppo confirms list of devices getting its Android 17 update, rollout starts this month
Oppo has officially revealed ColorOS 17, its Android 17 update, to global markets this week and, along with that, confirmed a list of devices poised to get the update.
ColorOS 17 is Oppo’s Android 17 update, and it has two main focuses – smooth performance, and AI. It’s also packed with Liquid Glass design elements, as if that should surprise anyone at this point.
Oppo calls its Liquid Glass copy “Flow,” with the “Luminous Rendering Engine” powering animations that react to your touch. Oppo says:
ColorOS 17 reimagines how you interact with the system. It senses the pressure and direction of your touch, responding with fluid, elastic motion and nuanced lighting effects that make every interaction feel truly alive. With the all-new Unified Rendering Architecture, transitions between elements are more seamless and refined than ever.
Oppo says that ColorOS 17 is also faster and more reliable, touting 55% “more stable app launches” and 25% better app retention in memory.
As with anything else in 2026, AI is a big part of the update, with Oppo continuing to build out features like AI Mind Space (similar to Pixel Screenshots and Nothing’s Essential Space), adding “AI Mind Pilot” as an agentic AI service, “AI Mind Suggest” as a proactive flight companion, an “AI Photo Agent” is a prompt-based photo editor.
Oppo says ColorOS 17 will start rolling out globally this month – October 29, to be exact – with over a dozen devices set to be updated before the month’s end and many more to be updated through the first quarter of 2027.
Here’s the full rollout schedule for ColorOS 17 on Oppo devices:
ColorOS 17 is also coming to Realme and OnePlus devices around the globe starting this month. Realme says updates start on October 29 while OnePlus will start its rollout on the same date for the OnePlus 15, with more devices to follow.
