Wyze’s new Indoor Cam Pan has 360-degree tracking and built-in privacy for under $40
Wyze is refreshing its 360-degree Indoor Cam Pan with an improved design and better night vision, and a price of just $40.
Available starting today, the Wyze Indoor Cam Pan is a camera on a motorized base, allowing it to swivel 360-degrees around. The lens itself is mounted on a second vertical motor that can move 103-degrees up or down. In other words, it can see basically everywhere around where you put it.
Wyze takes advantage of that with upgraded AI-powered motion tracking, allowing the camera to lock onto a subject and follow it anywhere within the camera’s view. The motors are quieter this time around compared to previous models, leaving the camera fully operable without bothering those in the room – like sleeping kids or pets.
When you want privacy, the vertical motor can pull the lens into the body of the camera, physically obscuring its view.
The camera itself is a 2K sensor with night vision that’s even more invisible to the eye. Not only will you not see lights cast on a dark room, but those red IR emitters use a 940 nm wavelength so it’s not as visible to you. It captures storage locally and/or in the cloud, depending on your preferences, and has customizable detection zones, a built-in siren, and two-way audio.
The new camera should also be available at Amazon soon.
