Belkin says its new ‘BoostSolid’ Qi2 batteries last 3x longer than your other magnetic power banks
During IFA 2026, Belkin announced a new lineup of magnetic Qi2 battery banks using a new solid-state technology. The two UltraCharge Pro models can charge devices at up to 15W wirelessly, but they have more tricks in the sleeve.
It’s a little difficult to find good magnetic batteries that offer a reliable experience. The Qi2 standard isn’t exactly new, but plenty of batteries that snap to the back of your phone might not be capable of reaching 15W.
Belkin announced two new magnetic Qi2 batteries. They follow a common split into a 5,000mAh and a 10,000mAh power bank. Belkin says both UltraCharge Pro batteries are built on what it’s calling “BoostSolid” technology using internal gel layers for better performance, which it’s advertising lasts up to three times longer than other power banks.
That estimate comes from its ability to retain 80% capacity after 1,000 charge cycles. That’s a five-year lifespan on a full charge cycle every two days.
The UltraCharge Pro Slim battery is the most pocket-friendly. It takes up little extra bulk compared to the larger model, but it only provides 5,000mAh of power. The thicker version has twice the capacity and adds a display for real-time battery status and alerts.
Both are certified for Qi2 15W wireless charging, but the UltraCharge Pro 10K is able to reach 60W wired charging from a single port, which opens it up to charge larger devices.
If you need something that will charge a laptop or gaming handhelds, the 10,000mAh UltraCharge Pro is likely the better bet. The Slim version is just as useful if space is a heavy consideration.
Belkin’s UltraCharge Pro Slim 5K and UltraCharge Pro 10K Qi2 batteries will be available starting this month from retailers like Amazon and Belkin’s website.
