Following their original announcement and previews back in May, the first wave of Googlebook notebooks is now up for pre-order. There are five new models available from Lenovo, Dell, ASUS, HP, and Acer, and you can order them through the Google Store as well as select retailers. Best Buy is running a particularly solid launch offer right now, throwing in a FREE pair of Pixel Buds 2a with Googlebook pre-orders. Simply head to the retailer’s landing page right here and add one of the new Googlebook notebooks to your cart to see the earbuds added automatically. It’s the best launch offer we’re tracking on Google’s new laptops so far, and you can get a closer look at the individual models along with more details below.
Google is launching five Googlebook models to start, with new notebooks from Acer, Dell, ASUS, HP, and Lenovo covering a pretty wide range of sizes and price points. They’re all built around Googlebook OS, which combines a native Android stack with some of the desktop and multi-window capabilities Google previously offered through ChromeOS. The big highlight here is tighter integration with Android phones, with things like synced settings, passwords, Wi-Fi, messages, cross-device continuity, app casting, and easier access to files stored on your phone. You’re also getting Gemini features baked into the experience, along with a desktop-class Chrome browser and support for Android apps, web apps, and Linux tools.
On the hardware side, every launch model comes with at least 16GB of RAM, a touchscreen, and either an Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or Snapdragon X Elite processor with 40+ TOPS NPUs. Depending on the model, you’ll find up to 3K OLED displays, haptic trackpads, premium aluminum, magnesium, or carbon fiber builds, and up to 16 hours of web browsing battery life. All five are now up for pre-order ahead of their October 4 launch. You can learn more about the Googlebooks in our launch coverage right here.
Today we are getting another go at Amazon all-time low pricing on the 2026 Nothing Ear (3a) wireless buds. Both the yellow and black set are now sitting back down at $79.
Amazon is now offering the Nothing Ear (3a) wireless earbuds down at $79 shipped in two colors.
These buds debuted at $99 this past summer and are now down at 20% off via Amazon. Outside of a previous limited open-box offer at Best Buy, today’s deal is matching the lowest price we have tracked to date.
That said, the open-box deal at Best Buy is now live again, with the “excellent” condition listing for the black set now $1 less than our previous mention:
We came away very impressed with the Nothing Ear (3a) after getting a chance to review them. Delivering some of the best bang for your buck in the wireless earbud space this year, the unmistakable Nothing aesthetics here are joined by “one-touch AI features like ChatGPT and Essential News,” Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device connectivity (iOS and Android), and “improved wideband” Active Noise Cancellation (up to 45 dB). Battery life tops out at up to 42 hours with the charging case.
We are getting another chance at some savings on the already affordable and quite impressive Nothing Phone (4a) Pro today at Amazon. While the 128GB model is still at full price on Amazon ($50 off at Best Buy), the 256GB model is now $80 off.
