Some iPhone Duo orders getting moved up to earlier dates
iPhone Duo became available for pre-order last Friday, then quickly became backordered into late January 2027. However, a number of users have started reporting that their orders now show earlier delivery dates than originally estimated.
If you ordered an iPhone Duo last week, there’s a chance Apple has just moved up your delivery date—especially, it seems, if you‘re in Japan.
Over the weekend, a variety of iPhone Duo orders in Japan started getting pushed up to earlier dates than Apple originally estimated.
For example, here’s a user whose December date got moved up to October 23.

It is unclear whether this change is going to start rolling out more broadly around the world. Though some orders arriving sooner than expected wouldn’t be surprising.
Apple has yet to comment on the updated shipping dates. It’s possible the improved delivery estimates end up being errors that get reverted, but hopefully that’s not the case.
So far the new dates appear limited to orders directly from Apple. We’ll keep you posted on any new developments to the story.
