Adobe teams up with Universal and Warner to bring popular music to Premiere mobile
Adobe Premiere mobile users will soon be able to add licensed music from two of the world’s biggest music companies to their videos. Here are the details.
Adobe today announced a partnership with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group that will let Premiere mobile users browse and add music from popular artists to their videos directly within the app.
By combining music from two of the world’s leading music companies with Premiere mobile’s pro-level video editing tools, we’re making it easier for you to discover the tracks you love, shape your video around the music and share your stories, all in one free app
As Adobe explains, the tracks will be licensed for personal, non-commercial use. The company added that Adobe Stock Audio will remain available for projects that require commercially licensed music.
Here’s what users will be able to do once the new features become available, per Adobe:
The new music library will complement Premiere mobile’s existing features, which include tools for cleaning up audio recordings, advanced video editing capabilities, and AI-powered asset generation through Adobe Firefly.
The company didn’t provide an exact date for when the new music library will become available, nor whether tracks from both companies will arrive at the same time. The announcement also didn’t specify how many songs will be included or whether the agreements cover the companies’ entire music catalogs. Adobe said only that the new features are “coming soon.”
