Show's over! I'm going to head to some meetings, but thanks for following our live blog. We'll have more analysis and roundups of everything Apple announced soon on WIRED.com.
The developer betas are launching today for all of Apple's new operating system updates, with the official versions coming later this fall.
Tim Cook signs off, saying, “I still believe the best is yet ahead."
Apple is injecting Apple Intelligence into the Photos app. These features “enhance images in ways that respect the original moment.”
These features are: Clean Up, Extend, and Spatial Reframe.
Clean Up now does a better job of removing distractions and unwanted objects in the image.
Extend lets you expand images to give more breathing room, generating pixels based on what it thinks should be there.
Spatial Reframing uses on-device spatial models, allowing you to change the photo's perspective slightly. It also works with generative AI models to fill in the gaps that might change with the new perspective.
