BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony live coverage and how to watch—what's next for Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, and StarCraft

BlizzCon 2026 kicks off today with the Opening Ceremony at 10:30 am PT, where we're expecting major announcements about what the next several years hold for the developer. The festivities can be viewed in the player above, or on YouTube here.
There are rumors that a new StarCraft game will be announced, and Blizzard has lightly teased the possibility. There's also been lots of chatter about possible a new spin on World of Warcraft: Classic, which players are referring to as "Classic Plus."
Beyond that, expect news about Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Diablo. It's been three years since the last BlizzCon in 2023, so the developer has had some time to cook.
I'm on scene at the convention in Anaheim, and will be reporting the big news from the Opening Ceremony in the live blog below, adding information I've gathered here wherever I have it. Look for deeper coverage on the big announcements throughout the coming week.
