Slow Horses is back tonight, and Apple just confirmed two more seasons
Apple TV has one of its best shows, Slow Horses, returning tonight for season 6 (watch here). And the streamer has just announced that seasons 7 and 8 are both already in the works.
Most shows in the streaming TV era have too long of waits between seasons. But Apple TV hit Slow Horses is a stark exception.
Slow Horses first premiered in 2022, and now just a few years later, its sixth season kicks off tonight.
You can watch Slow Horses season 6 here once it becomes available tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
The short, six-episode length of each season likely helps the show stay so prolific. But so too does Apple renewing it for new seasons far in advance.
That’s what just happened again. Joining the previously announced season 7, Apple just confirmed that season 8 is coming too.
Season 8 will be adapted from “Clown Town,” the ninth novel in Mick Herron’s “Slough House” book series. It’s also the final novel in the series—for now. Here’s the official summary:
Season eight sees Jackson Lamb and Diana Taverner face off in their most explosive confrontation yet. When a botched attempt to blackmail the Park puts Taverner on the offensive, it is up to Lamb to unravel one of MI5’s darkest secrets and put an end to it once and for all.
Based on Apple’s typical release schedule, we’ll likely see season 7 premiere in 2027 and season 8 in 2028. Here’s hoping Herron will publish a new book in the meantime so that work can begin on Slow Horses season 9.
