Watch: Harry and Meghan at first joint engagement since UK return
The Duchess of Sussex has made her first official public appearance since moving back to the UK, telling well-wishers "it's great to be back".
Meghan arrived at a youth charity in Nottingham alongside her husband, the Duke of Sussex, on Thursday morning. The pair, who are also expected to visit a food bank later, hugged and posed for selfies with the public.
The duchess spoke to a number of people in the crowd, telling one "we got lucky" as they chatted about the weather.
She has shared glimpses of her life back in the UK on social media, but this is the first time she has attended any public events since the family returned from California.
Meghan clutched some flowers and some friendship bracelets she was handed
During a bracelet-making workshop, Meghan disclosed her daughter Princess Lilibet had been enjoying a new hobby.
When one youngster told the duchess she liked doing gymnastics, Meghan replied: "Oh yeah. Our daughter is doing that too right now. She loves it."
Later, she gave the young girls some advice on building confidence.
"We have to remember to talk to ourselves like we talk to our best friends," she said. "It's really important to be just as kind to yourself."
