Honor’s new gaming phone & tablet have 10,000+ mAh batteries, fans, up to 240Hz OLED display
The Honor Win2 series and the Honor Tablet are pushing the boundaries of mobile tech, with impressive specs, built-in fans, and the same excellent eye care features the company is known for.
If you thought refresh rates couldn’t get any higher, it’s time to think again. Honor just announced four new devices, all of which push OLED refresh rates in impressive ways. The most impressive on the docket is probably the Honor Win Tablet, which packs an unbelievable 240Hz OLED display onto an actively cooled 8.4-inch tablet.
Honor looks to be pushing extreme processing speed with an included 15,000rpm fan build into the camera island on the back, which should keep the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 nice and cool. The display sports 6,000-nit peak brightness, 4,400Hz or 5,920Hz PWM dimming (refresh rate-dependent), a 10,000mAh battery with 66W charging, 12GB or 16GB RAM, 256GB or 512GB storage, and Honor’s Android 17-based Magic OS 11. The Win Tablet starts at CNY 4,499 (~$670).
The Honor Win2 is this year’s flagship gaming phone from the company, sporting two active cooling fans. One ramps up to 20,000rpm, while the side fan cranks that up to 31,000rpm, ensuring this thing should never, ever overheat despite the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 alleged overheating issues.
The Win2 sports a new top-of-the-line OLED panel with 10,000-nit peak brightness, a 185Hz refresh rate, 5,920Hz PWM dimming, 16GB RAM, 1TB of storage, a 200MP 1/1.4-inch main camera with OIS, 10,100mAh battery (not a typo!), 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, IP68/69/69K ratings, and Honor’s Android 17-based Magic OS 11. Holy cow what a flagship, and it starts at CNY 5,499 (~$990).
And if that’s not enough for you, there’s also the Honor Win2 RT, which dials the processor back just a tad to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, keeps the active cooling fan, uses a physically smaller 200MP camera sensor, and even somehow increases the battery capacity to 12,070mAh. This one starts at CNY 4,199 (~$630).
Lastly, the Honor Win Turbo is the company’s mid-range offering for the line, packing a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, drops the main camera to 50MP, and ditches the active cooling fan, but still retains the absurdly amazing 12,070mAh battery of the Win2 RT. The Win Turbo starts at CNY 3,299 (~$500).
Like the previous Honor Win series, this one appears to be largely relegated to China only. Honor confirmed to us that there won’t be a global release, but that doesn’t count specific regional releases out of the question.
