Galaxy SmartTag 3 hits Samsung online store as single tracker or four-pack
Samsung’s latest generation of item trackers for Galaxy devices is available online in two colors, starting at $29.
Samsung announced the Galaxy SmartTag 3 last month, though it’s only now available for purchase online. The new tracker bears a different appearance, with a much more uniform and compact shape compared to the larger profile in previous designs. It’s a little more portable, too, even though it ditches the built-in loop.
For one reason or another, the Galaxy SmartTag 3 works with the Galaxy Find network but not Google’s larger Find My network. That means the SmartTag 3 will be exclusive to Galaxy devices and iPhones, since Samsung’s iOS app will support basic connectivity with the device.
The new Galaxy-branded tracker brings a few important features into play. These include routine activation, leave-behind alerts, and location history. The tags are rated for 550 days of battery power and are rated IP67 water and dust resistant.
Samsung added two colorways to its website – white and black. Both are sold as an individual Galaxy SmartTag 3 for $29, but you can grab a bundle of four – two of each color – for $99.
