I tried a solar-powered AirTag alternative that lasts 2 years - and looks like my Apple Watch
ZDNET's recommendations are based on many hours of testing, research, and comparison shopping. We gather data from the best available sources, including vendor and retailer listings as well as other relevant and independent reviews sites. And we pore over customer reviews to find out what matters to real people who already own and use the products and services we’re assessing.
When you click through from our site to a retailer and buy a product or service, we may earn affiliate commissions. This helps support our work, but does not affect what we cover or how, and it does not affect the price you pay. Neither ZDNET nor the author are compensated for these independent reviews. Can I start a finder tag review without saying how much I love Apple AirTags, and how they will always be my first love? Clearly not, but that's all I'm going to say about that tech.
Beyond Apple, it continues to amaze me how innovative some companies are, and Ugreen never disappoints. From power banks to chargers, this company knows how to make something that's different.
Also: I compared Apple AirTags to competing Bluetooth trackers - including this $2 one
And things don't get much more different than the Ugreen Finder Pro, a solar-powered AirTag alternative. In fact, it's the only solar-powered tag I've tested -- and I looked for more and couldn't find any.
On the face of it, the Finder Pro is a pretty standard tag, but this device is exclusive to the Apple Find My ecosystem (sorry, Android users, no solar-powered tag for you).
A solar-powered, IP68-rated tag that has a two-year lifespan.
